This morning epitomized why we love fishing Guadalupe so much. At 0330 we started with a nice steady bite on 30-40lb yellows that bit until just before daylight when the 60-80lb tuna took over. After catching the first few tuna on dropper loops, the flylined baits starting getting bit and before we knew what hit us, there were eight hanging and it wasn't even daylight yet. A very nice day of long range angling here at the island today with steady action and lots of visual displays by this quality yellowfin. We ended up with 54 tuna from 50-100lbs and a handful of nice yellows. We are going to finish up here tomorrow trying for yellows before calling it a trip. Our weather is beautiful. ...... Read More
